At Studioform Creative in Auckland, New Zealand, every comfort strap, curved counterweight, and viscoelastic face pad is engineered for sim racers and flight pilots spending hours inside high-resolution VR headsets. In this official release, our design team breaks down the Pimax Apache Comfort Strap V3 Vader Black Special Edition ($21.95, save $9.05 off $31.00 MSRP) and how to configure your headset for endurance stints.
Workshop Engineering Breakdown
High-clarity glass aspheric and pancake optical blocks shift the center of gravity forward onto your nasal bridge and cheekbones. By combining our wide overhead Apache crown strap with contoured rear counter-balance wraps and multi-layer 8mm–17mm face cushions, the Pimax Apache Comfort Strap V3 Vader Black Special Edition suspends the HMD cleanly across the top of your skull.
